Circe’s Island

This is a little bit of fun that I recently found and had totally forgotten I’d filked.   Enjoy!

Circe’s Island

(Sung to the tune of the Gilligan’s Island theme song)

  •  Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale
  • A tale of a fateful trip
  • That started from this Trojan port
  • Aboard this tiny ship.
  • Our captain was a sailing man,
  • A king both brave and true
  • Our crew all set sail that day
  • For a ten year tour…a ten year tour.
  • The monsters started getting rough
  • By Charybdis we were tossed
  • If not for the plotting of our Captain-King,
  • The ship it would be lost…the ship it would be lost.
  • The ship set ground upon the shore
  • Of this enchanted Isle…
  • With the Sorceress…
  • Our Captain-King…
  • Misenus…with his pipes.
  • The servants all…
  • The sailors who were turned to pigs
  • Here on Circe’s Island!
  • So this is the tale of the curs’d sailors
  • They’re here for a long, long time,
  • To feast and drink in the banquet hall
  • And fill their snouts with wine.
  • The Sorceress and the Captain too
  • Will do their very best
  • To make the others comfortable
  • In Circe’s strange love nest.
  • So join us here each week my friends
  • You’re sure to get a smile
  • From a crew of Ithican castaways
  • Here on Circe’s Island!
